The village lies on a tributary of the River Lyd, backed by high West Devon hills. In the foreground are houses on the road to Lifton, including Marlow Crescent; behind is the recent development of Park Court, with the hamlet of Forda, on the road to Lewtrenchard, beyond that. The village centre (in Image) is tucked away to the right. The Lyd valley is on the left with Dartmoor in the distance.
