Opened in 1854 by the Middlesbrough & Guisborough Railway, later part of the North Eastern Railway, this station closed to passengers in 1876 when it was replaced by a new station some 150 metres behind the camera position. View east towards Hutton Gate and Guisborough. The spelling of the station name was slightly different to the nearby settlement.
