The premises of Chester Jefferies Ltd are at the western end of Buckingham Road. The business was founded in 1936 by Chester Jefferies and Gilbert Pearce to manufacture gloves from hogskin (from the South American peccary and carpincho (capybara)). In 2014, Chester Jefferies extensive range of gloves are made from leathers from around the world, and finished by hand.
