Askern Boathouse

The Mere was once the focus of Askern's existence as a spa. Nowadays the Boathouse stills hire out boats (in season) and provides refreshments. On the day I visited its main activity seemed to be selling bags of food to feed the ducks, geese, swans and gulls on the mere.
