The photograph shows a view looking toward the northern end (ahead) of Barnard Lane and its junction with Image (joining from the right). The lane connects Church Lane (ahead) with Malpas Road (behind the viewpoint). The photograph was taken from where the Image (left, behind the viewpoint) rejoins the lane. The ‘Dolly Walk’ is a short stretch of footpath that runs through a thin strip of trees and shrubs along the western side of Barnard Lane. The entrance on the left is to West End Farm. The entrance ahead is to other private properties.
