Bridge No 47 across the Macclesfield Canal carries a public footpath. This is the only remaining example of a Macclesfield Swivel Bridge, of which there were about twelve. It was restored and reinstsed in 1998. See http://www.macclesfieldcanal.org.uk/br47.htm
