In the background is Hightown Bridge (No 74) crossing the Macclesfield Canal. This was originally a farmer's accommodation bridge, but now serves Morley's the breakfast cereal and bakers' ingredients importer. Perhaps it is called Morley's Bridge now, because names would be changed over the years to reflect the prevailing landowners' names.
