The A60 (the Mansfield-Nottingham road) is a 10 minute walk from here behind the photographer and this is a view towards the Kirkby-in-Ashfield direction, a few metres before High Leys Drive (a left hand turning). A sign is visible on the left that flags up an entry point to the Robin Hood (long distance) Way to/from the Newstead Abbey direction. Walkers exiting the trail here and wishing to continue on the trail are obliged to cross this road, to continue in the Kirkby direction for a short distance and then to take a right-hand turning to rejoin the path.
