What caught my eye (apart from the garish colour) was the type-face - plainly influenced by Art Nouveau. As was the case in Continental Art Nouveau typography, Hebraic influences can also be detected - notice in particular the forms taken by A, D and Y (and perhaps C). The church stands at the corner of Vernon Road and Howgate Road. The architects are named as Howgate & Keith. So it looks as if the senior architect had the honour of having a street named after him - though quite a small one. The church, I should add, is now used as a school.
