The nearest is ex-Caledonian Railway McIntosh '711' class 2F 0-6-0 No. 57411 (built c.1895, withdrawn 9/61): behind it are an ex-NBR 0-6-0T and several ex-NBR 0-6-0s. At this time - before 'Beeching' - BR were already engaged in the wholesale slaughter of pre-Grouping steam locomotives. [Precise location of these sidings uncertain, but probably well short of the present terminus of the heritage Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway]?.
