It seems wrong to use words like "Nave" and "Chancel" for this stunningly plain little building, but there is a chancel arch, and what one might call a Sanctuary round the Altar. This is all very odd. Because according to the Victoria County History the church was originally arranged with the pews facing the other way. Yet the chancel does not look like an addition. The VCH talks of a "three decker pulpit" but there is no longer any trace of this.
