Double-domed-towered neo-Tudor by Robert Curwen, 1908. Grade II listed. The listing records that it was built as a Barracks Institute. "Institutes provided rooms for reading, meetings, study and games. They were part of the late C19 effort by the army to provide wider entertainment opportunities for the soldiers."
