The Light Anti-Aircraft gun unit consisting of two Bofors guns was set up in 1940 at Pond Farm, Mutford in a field 150 yards north of these huts. There are 4 accommodation huts and one larger Mess and recreation hut. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4211180 Immediately north of these huts (where a bungalow now stands) was the administration and control block which had its own well and water tower. On the opposite side of the road was the ammunition store. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4211191 In the field next to the guns used to be a small crew shelter.
