Aerial photos suggest the site is for electricity supply to the railway from the units behind the fences, left, as well as for equipment and materials for track maintenance. The building, centre, between railway lines at a junction, could be a disused electrical substation. The view is from the footpath that leads to the University of Surrey, taken at about 6 o'clock on a sunny April afternoon.
