Originally called Rosemary Lane, it had obtained its current name by the early 19th century. In the background is the former Albion pub on St James's Square which closed in the 1990s(?) and is now converted to flats. On the right is Llyfrau Ystwyth/Ystwyth Books, a large (mainly) second hand bookshop.
