Plentiful supply of windflowers along the runway edge, behind which is a deep quarry. The arrows and line on the runway indicate a displaced threshold, i.e. do not land before the line. This is because there is a quarry under the approach and immediately off the end of the runway, causing potentially hazardous conditions and turbulence.
