View into a Tett turret. The seat seen here was affixed to the rotating concrete turret. Tett turrets > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4159890 are a type of pillbox of which only very few were ever constructed. The only other known examples can be found on the edge of the disused aerodrome at Hornchurch in Essex. Other examples are reported from Sudbury in Suffolk (destroyed), which, like the Norfolk specimens was mounted on a brick structure instead of a vertical concrete pipe, and from the Isle of Man but it is not known if these still exist.
