The Kilnsea Cross, said to have been built at Ravenser circa 15th century to commemorate the landing in 1399 of Henry Bolingbroke, i.e. King Henry IV. Ravenser subsequently disappeared due to coastal erosion; the cross was washed up on the beach at Kilnsea in 1818 and re-erected by James Iveson in the grounds of Holyrood House, Baxtergate, in 1828.
