The current farmhouse dates back to the 18th century and has gone through a variety of different spellings on maps; Stuckles on Budgens 1724 map, Stuckholds on the 1842 tithe map, Stuckels on the 1875 OS map, back to Stuckholds again for the 1899 and 1910 versions, and finally Stuccles from the 1956 version onwards.
