A slight massaging of the facts gives the Welsh General's birthplace as the nearby family seat, Poyston Hall; in fact the house was being rebuilt in 1758 and the family had removed to Haverfordwest where he was born (see Image). Also, he was in fact buried in the family vault of St George's Hanover Square London, although he has a monument in St Paul's, and in Carmarthen.
