View NE from Wimbledon Bridge, after closure to cars of the cramped approach: ex-LSWR Waterloo - Surbiton - Woking and the West main line, also ex-LSW&LBSCR (now Thameslink) line from Blackfriars via Tulse Hill, Streatham and Tooting. The station remains as rebuilt in 1929 by the SR incorporating the London Underground District Line terminus from Earl's Court via Putney Bridge. Off the main line to the SW, the line to Sutton opened in 1930 goes southward, together with the former ex-LB&SCR branch to West Croydon, which was converted in 5/00 to a branch of the Croydon Tramlink.
