Holmsley South: a replacement postbox

This postbox has replaced a similar one which had been attached to the wooden post, left (see Image). The post has visible red paint from when the old box had been repainted. Newly installed boxes are no longer attached to wooden fixtures, the metal pole such as the one pictured being used universally now. Unlike the previous box, this one dates from no earlier than 1994 - one can tell because of the words ROYAL MAIL rather than POST OFFICE above the slot, and more subtly by the fact that the front of the box has been cast separately and bolted on.
