View westward, towards Ipswich: ex-GER Ipswich - Felixstowe line. The branch to Felixstowe from the East Suffolk (Ipswich - Lowestoft/Great Yarmouth) line originally operated independently until 1877 from a terminus here on the left; the present (ex-GER) station is on the right.
