This used to be a Morlands house, but they were taken over by Greene King in 1999. It does not seem to belong to Greene King now so it was presumably sold off at some stage. Today still following the traditional role of an inn, the Bell offers bed and breakfast accommodation, also food and a selection of local ales. The building is Grade II listed and dates from the late 16th century, with later changes. It was originally a private house and timber-framed. Next door at No. 36 Market Place is Le Petit Pain, a shop selling French style bread. Image
