Aka Sheriff House. A very swanky Georgian town house, dated 1767. Pedimented central three bays, the central bay lavishly treated with a fine doorcase, splayed window surround and Diocletian window (Image]). The prominent parapet is perhaps the only feature which jars slightly. Grade II* listed. Built for Cornelius Launder, "a prominent landlord and noted miser", and now offices.
