Path in Northaw Great Wood

The tree species most characteristic of woods in this part of Hertfordshire is hornbeam, most especially in woods such as Bencroft and Highfield. Northaw Great Wood is more mixed - the proportion of hornbeams is lower, with a greater number of oaks and birches.
