Erected 1912 a Statue in Memory of William Henry Hornby

Situated in the alley at the head of Market Way between the Town Hall and the shopping precinct a statue in remembrance of William Henry Hornb; born in Blackburn 1805, he died 1884. William Hornby was the first Mayor of Blackburn in 1851, Chairman of the Conservative Party and the member of Parliament for Blackburn from 1857 to 1869.
