My trusty Brompton sat patiently waiting while I was chatting to the local farmer who told me that the post with the Sustrans' National Cycle Route signage was temporarily removed by workmen in order to get access for machinery to carry out maintenance. They then replaced it the wrong way round, causing much confusion to non-local cyclists following the cycle route. As I am involved with Sustrans I hope to get that problem rectified.
