Path in Walthamstow Cemetery (Queens Road)

The cemetery opened in October 1872. It was started by the Walthamstow Burial Road who had the two chapels and belfry, together with the lodge, coroner's court and sundry buildings erected. The cemetery covers 11 acres. This view is from near the main entrance in Queens Road. Interestingly two religions are shown here - Christian in the foreground and Muslim in the background in the form of the Masjid-e-Umer mosque in Queens Road on the corner with Chelmsford Road.
