Sandilands is well named, as sand is everywhere, but still more is arriving through the marine dredging and surcharging scheme. The dredging ship can be seen on the horizon unloading another cargo. The beach huts, many in brick, are let by the golf course, and are separately numbered from the Sandilands extent.
