St Leonard's Tower is Norman and is perched on a sloping shelf of rock beyond West Malling and next to St Leonard's Street. Pevsner dates it at c.1100 which is the same date as Gundulf's Tower at Rochester Castle. It is like a slightly smaller version of Rochester Castle keep. It is seen here from the footpath which passes to the south.
