A view of St Barnabas' Anglican Church, Rochester Way with a blue car coming out of Cobbett Road onto this busy road, the A209. The original St Barnabas' Church (c.1859), designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott, existed for 74 years as the Naval Dockyard Church in Woolwich. Between 1932-33 it was taken down and rebuilt here in a modified form. However, it was gutted by fire as a result of enemy action in 1944 and was only restored in 1956, complete with a new roof and remodelled interior.
