With the south-western boundary hedge and tree-line 50 metres or so behind the photographer this is a view towards the main entrance on Well Hall Road (with the roof of the 1930s lodge just visible) and an 'unchristened and anonymously numbered' block of flats on the same road. Presumably this sea of low Victorian-era headstones reflect the more 'challenged' financial state of the family members who ordered them?
