The old grammar school

This group of buildings were once the Thornbury Free Grammar School. The town has a long history of education long before the compulsory regulations. The original school may have been founded in the sixteenth century and was located in various places over time. This was the home from 1648-1879 before it moved again. See Image] for the plaque.
