Radar tower at Debden airfield

Debden airfield opened in 1937. It was used by the RAF during the battle of britain and was bombed by the Luftwaffe on 25th June and 2nd August 1940. The airfield was transferred to the USAF at the end of 1942 until the end of the war. It finally closed in 1975.
