This is the end of Church Lane for vehicles, but it continues as a rather overgrown bridlepath out to the Heckfield bypass — and then resumes as the old road past the former school. The width of the old road is testified by the posts across the road, intended to prevent use by vehicles, now overgrown by vegetation: two of them are just visible in this photograph. The path also has a deteriorating tarred surface — again, what remains of the old road. On the left is the entrance to Cedars.
