The nave to the left was built in 1828 as the old nave was ruinous and the transepts removed at the same time. The herringbone masonry at the base of the tower is Norman work. Listed Grade I. There is a bench mark http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3922538 just to the right of the blocked transept arch.
