Opened in 1927 by the London Midland and Scottish Railway on the former Caledonian Railway line from Glasgow to Edinburgh via Shotts. View east towards Cleland and Edinburgh, some 6 years before the railway line was electrified. See Image for a view from the adjacent platform in 2019.
