It was reported in the Folkestone Herald newspaper on 3 January 2014 that Folkestone West Railway Station would have a brand new booking hall and waiting room as part of a £1.3,000,000 face-lift. The new building work was due to start on 6 January 2014: http://www.folkestoneherald.co.uk/work-train-station-increases-sum-1-3m/story-20397475-detail/story.html At the time of this photo, the framework of the new building can be seen rising over the hoarding.
