Viewed across Ely Street. The graphic pub sign depicts the headless body of Mary Queen of Scots. Her executioner is holding an axe in his right hand and her head in this left hand. Mary Queen of Scots was beheaded at Fotheringhay Castle in Northamptonshire on February 8th 1587.
