View northward, towards Luton, Bedford and the North: ex-Midland London St Pancras - Bedford - Leicester - Sheffield main line, electrified to Bedford in 1983. Served by Thameslink trains, Bedford - Brighton/Sutton from 1987. There was a branch line from Harpenden to Heath Park (Hemel Hempstead) until 31/8/59, with a passenger service until 16/6/47.
