Albert Bridge is a Grade II listed skew arch bridge (English Heritage ID:471514 and 387948* http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-471514-albert-bridge-that-part-in-salford-civil and http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-387948-albert-bridge-that-part-in-the-city-of-m British Listed Buildings). Built in 1844, as a replacement for an earlier structure (New Bailey Bridge), it connects the cities of Salford and Manchester crossing the traditional boundary, the River Irwell. * The bridge is listed twice because it is both Manchester and Salford.
