Gorffwysfa (also variously known as Borth and Glyn) was at different times the home of Lord Lucan of Castlebar and Walter Warwick Vivian the aristocratic general manager of Dinorwig Quarries in the late 19thC. A drive from the lodge to the main house crossed over the railway line.
