Parliament Street was built to link Whitefriargate with Quay Street and Queen's Dock. Following an Act of Parliament (hence the name of the street) passed in 1795, most of the development of three-storey houses took place 1797-1803. By 1861, attorneys, notaries and accountants had occupied the houses; today it is still home to the professional services sector. This view shows the east side of the street, from Alfred Gelder street, to the former Neptune Inn, Whitefriargate. There are 21 separate listings of Grade II Listed Buildings.
