At the junction with Chapel Street, the former Post Office, Nos.57 & 59 Jameson Street, built 1938, designed for the General Post Office by Maurice de Metz. The office closed 24 August 2007, when business was transferred to the W.H.Smith store, Prospect Street Shopping Centre. The building has, subsequently, remained vacant except for temporary Christmas-related retail each year. Currently advertised 'to let'.
