Looking in the direction of Hadham Ford and Little Hadham, New Road peels off to the left here. Somewhat amusingly Hertfordshire County Council has decided to paint white centreline markings down the centre of New Road. Edge to edge the metalling is no more than 3 metres wide at its narrowest point.
