Once the terminus of frequent route 16 from Birmingham city centre via Hockley, since that route was extended up the road to Green Lane many years ago this turning circle has seen little use by buses. When I visited, the only route using it was National Express West Midlands route 654, providing a rather indirect service to Perry Barr on an hourly frequency; the bus on the extreme left is operating that route and is about to turn right into the turning circle. Buses that do not terminate here stop on Hamstead Road, as demonstrated by the 46 as it makes its way from West Bromwich to Great Barr.
