Probably built in 1926 the old fire station at the northwest end of the Gibson Park that had been used as storage by the Melrose Festival committee and was extended to form a new Football clubhouse called The Engine Room, opened on 23/2/12 by Mark Hateley the former Rangers, A.C. Milan and England player.
