'.... to view the Langdale Pikes. Reproduced with the kind permission of Mrs Betty Wainwright and Kendal Museum'. The trouble is, there is no view of the pikes (or any hills for that matter) just some stone slabs carved with illustrations taken from A. Wainwright's guidebooks. I wonder what the allegedly grumpy 'master fellwalker' would have made of all this? Perhaps it's as well he died before they named a shopping mall after him.
