A very grand effort, and an early example of a terrace being treated as if it were a palace. The individual houses are subordinate to the overall effect, emphasis and grandeur provided by the columned and raised ends, and the columned and pedimented centre. The intervening sections have pilasters dividing each bay (Image]). By John Wood the Elder, 1728-36. Grade I listed. Now all offices I think.
